Hot Buy by bs007
My Hot Buy is a little more widespread this time. I can't decide on just one item here, because they are all so cute! My Hot Buy is from Windy City Parrot. These are toys made for smaller birds such as Cockatiel's or Budgie's. I particularly like the Booda Byrdy Bush Rope Preening Bird Toy for Parrots. Check out the site for some great deals and if you spend $45 shipping is free!

XO Parrots Book Club by Liz
The book of the month is The Parrot Who Owns Me: The Story of a Relationship by Joanna Burger.
From the Publisher
Seventeen years ago, when she adopted a neglected, orphaned thirty-year-old parrot named Tiko, the internationally renowned ornithologist Joanna Burger entered one of the most complex relationships of her life. Sullen and hostile when he entered Dr. Burger’s home, Tiko gradually warmed up, courting her during mating season, nursing her vigilantly through a bout with Lyme disease, and for a while even fighting her husband for her attentions. In time theirs was a relationship of deep mutual trust.
The Parrot Who Owns Me is Joanna and Tiko’s story, as well as the story of the science of birds, and of parrots in particular. Woven into the narrative are insights and fascinating revelations from Dr. Burger’s work—not only about parrots, but also about what it means to be human.

Arcade Overview by Meghanxx4
Tired of just posting all the time? Well then why don’t you hit the arcade? The arcade offers over 150 games, and new tournaments daily.
Bugs Homer & Derby:
In Bugs Homer & Derby, Bugs is playing baseball. The object is to hit as many balls possible. After each round you go on to a new pitcher, and as the game goes on, and the pitchers get defeated they eventually get harder each time. If you love baseball, then this is the game for you
Candy Toss:
Candy Toss takes place on a street corner where vampire type character is on a high rise building and throws candy down at trick-or-treaters passing through the streets. What you do is help the vampire aim at the trick-or-treaters, the more trick-or-treaters you hit with candy the more points you receive. If you have good aiming skills this is the game for you.
Carrot Crunch:
The game Carrot Crunch takes place in a field with a maze of cabbages. To defeat each level of this game you must collect all the carrots in the field by going around and cabbages. Thought that was easy? Well there’s more to it, you must also avoid eating the stinky onions and broccoli, and if you do accidentally eat the stinky vegetables then you will then lose a life. If you have good navigation and are fast with your hands then this is the perfect game for you.
That concludes this weeks Arcade Review. If none of these games appeal to you, like I said above there are over 150 games in the arcade, hopefully you’ll find at least one that appeals to you. Have fun playing, and I wish you luck at winning the games.

Ask Jim by Shannara
Dear Jim, say I were to get a Cockatiel or some other kind of bird besides a Budgie. Would this bird need to be quarantined from my Budgies? Can they get the same diseases?
"I'm dealing with what happens when ya don't quarantine long enough and or well enough. Remember those cute pictures of Cricket the Parrotlet and Benji the Lovebird? I should have grabbed up Benji as soon as he flew over but I let the 'cute' of the moment win. Cricket had a bacteria, gave it to Benji. Both go back for the follow up this Saturday. All my birds have been getting ACV daily since. I doubt Zoey has it, she doesn't play well with others, besides me that is. Benji and Sophie had that cutesy thing going o too. ACV usually takes care of these things so hopefully if Sophie got it it will be gone by the time she goes in for her well bird in three weeks." -Jim

Ask Suz by Stickvilla
Dear Suz, I just got a huge cage today that has wooden perches and some wooden toys in it, they need a good cleaning and disinfecting. How can I clean and disinfect these with them still being safe for my Conure?
Do you want to know the answer? Then see what Suz said here.
